Obama, re-election, and the national budget

Next month, Obama is going to release his new budget plans for the next year. Republicans plan on using this event against him saying that he is too big of a spender and is rapidly increasing the national debt. Mitt Romney calls for a balanced budget and says it is not 'moral' for the US to spend more money than they take in. For the most part, a huge deficit worries most people. Would it be a good idea to have a balanced budget? Or would we lose too much?

  1. When I read this post again I realized it was too political. I did not mean for it to be an Obama v. Romney thing. I just wanted to focus more on the budget itself and the pros and cons of a balanced budget. And on the flip side, deficit spending.

  2. I think a balanced budget is theoretically a good idea but I think for the US it is really unattainable if we want to maintain our current way of life.
