This is an article about Obama's $1.1 million tour bus he uses while campaigning. The protection of the president is important, but you have to admit that $1.1 million is a crazy amount of money for a vehicle. Does this use of government money upset you at all?
Although this is a large amount of money to spend, the article states that the money was taken from a fund set aside for armored vehicles. I believe that the president needs to be protected and this is a good investment because in the past they had to lease buses and retrofit then. I think this is equivalent to Air Force One, so I'm not particularly opposed.
ReplyDeleteSame here, I agree with Colleen. I just hope this investment is going to be well used even after the presidential campaign. If not, that would be another incentive for us to monitor the usage of government expenditure.
