Forget politics for a moment: is it a good budget?

President Obama has released his 2013 budget request.  (see here)  The budget is "a blueprint for how we can rebuild an economy where hard work pays off and responsibility is rewarded."  It includes a mix of new expenditures on job creation, infrastructure, and education, tax reform, and expenditure cuts.  What chance do you think it has in Congress?

  1. I assume that reducing social inequality through the melioration of the educational system for the lower class and making college more affordable would apply to "hard work pay off" principle of the budget blueprint.

    1. This plan doesn't assume that the government would not have any unexpected expenditures in the next 10 years.. It's a nice goal and the intention is valid, but we'll see if all assumptions would hold or not
