Send in the IMF

The euro-zone crisis has the capacity to engulf us all, and unless action is taken, the crisis will spread. It looks increasingly as if only the IMF has the necessary detachment and technical credibility to sort the euro-zone out. If the euro-zone were a country it could look after itself. It has neither a large collective external deficit nor a collapsing currency, but it lacks the capacity to make difficult decisions and it sometimes seems paralyzed by dogma. The euro is flawed, but redesigning its architecture will inevitably take time that is not available. See the article for further information. Is sending in the IMF a good idea or bad?
